Riding on Angkor Land

"Hi! My name is May. January, February, March, April, May....", he introduced himself, smile at us and we shake hand.
Dalam hati aku, "Eh, pandai pulak dia buat lawak". Senang nak bagi orang hafal nama dia kan.
My friend and I was at first finished our lunch at nearby restaurant. We walked at the roadside, looking for a transport to explore this city where one of world harritage reside. Tuk Tuk that is. Or some people call it as bike-taxi. To find one, is not a problem at all. They are all everywhere, once they spot you as tourist like, they will approach you or even more daring some of them, will chase after you offering their Tuk Tuk. That is how they earn their living. Demi sesuap nasi. Later, I got to know that most of them are acctually rent that Tuk Tuk from the owner. No matter how little they earn, someone else still have share on it. May also one of them. After we nego the price, we hire him at USD8 dollar per day (some ask for 15 dollars, do nego with them), you can see some 3 seater/4 seater/2 seater. Once you hire them, they will send you every where within Siem Reap, wait for you (shopping, sight seeing, paktoh-ing, etc etc) and finally send you back to your hotel. May is 23 years old. Yes, he look young. Through out the journey, we share a story among us, and we knew how ambitious he is to improve his life, his future. Working as Tuk Tuk driver in day time, and attending English class at night. Yes, his English wasn't good but what most important, we understand each other. Broken english, gesture, sign language. All in one.
So..he will be my cheuffer atau supir for the day.
